In addition to providing students with a basic knowledge of China tax principles, this course aims to develop students’ understanding of the basic concepts of major PRC taxes and generic competencies to identify PRC tax issues with the appropriate supporting analyses.
Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to:
– Demonstrate an understanding of major types of PRC taxes;
– Identify PRC tax issues in practical situations; and
– Communicate basic PRC tax planning issues effectively in writing and verbally.
This course is also designed to develop the student’s sense of professional integrity when dealing with tax related issues in a business environment.
Medium of Instruction:Cantonese supplemented with English

Students can develop competence in interpreting tax statutes, analysing practical tax problems, applying current tax statutes and conducting basic tax planning in Hong Kong. The course is also designed to develop the student’s sense of professional integrity when dealing with tax related issues in a business environment.
