Programme Objectives

The PDPFM Programme intends to provide students with a focus and practical learning experience in property and facilities management so as to enhance their professional development in the specific setting of property and facilities management environment. After completion of this Programme, students will be equipped with the knowledge and vocational skills of Property Officer in Vocational Qualification Pathway (VQP) Level 4 of Property Management, and they should be able to apply practical knowledge and ethical judgment together with technical and management skills to pursue a career in the property and facilities management industry. They will be nurtured through all teaching and learning activities with the attitude of a servant leader.

Programme Intended Learning Outcomes (PILOs)

Upon successful completion of the Programme, students should be able to offer quality service to:

1. Administer the safety of the building environment, the maintenance and improvement works of the building.
2. Manage the facilities of various types of buildings and workplaces.
3. Administer manpower planning and training, staff occupational safety, and team leading in the provision of quality customer services to occupants and the community.
4. Master the knowledge in law, financial and asset management, and IT applications related to property management.

Entrance Requirements

The minimum entrance requirements of the PDPFM Programme are as follows:

• Secondary Five Education with a Pass or above in five subjects including Grade E in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the Hong Kong Certificate of Secondary Education (HKCE) Examination and currently employed in the facility/property management sector for at least 3 months; OR
• Secondary Six Education with Level 2 or above in five subjects including Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination and currently employed in the facility/property management sector for at least 3 months; OR
• Secondary school graduates from other education systems with results comparable to the above and currently employed in the facility/property management sector for at least 3 months; OR
• Foundation Diploma or Diploma Yi Jin or a QF Level 3 Qualification Certificate, PLUS a minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in the facility/property management sector; OR
• QF Level 3 Qualification Certificate in Property Management Industry from Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) scheme; OR
• Mature applicants aged 21 or above when they start their course of study, PLUS a minimum of 2 years relevant working experience in the facility/property management sector and pass the Chinese and English language admission tests.

Programme Requirements

1. Students are required to maintain at least an 80% attendance rate in all nine courses of the Programme held throughout three semesters.
2. Completed and been assessed on all courses (135 QF credits).
3. Obtained an overall GPA of 2.0 or above across all courses in which they were assessed.
4. Obtained a passing grade or above in all assessments of all courses of the Programme.

Professional Recognition

The PDPFM graduates with the required practical professional experience are eligible to apply for

	Ordinary membership(CIHM) of Chartered Institute of Housing, Asia Pacific Branch (CIHAPB).
	Associate membership (AHIREA) of Hong Kong Institute of Real Estate Administrators (HIREA).
	Practitioner membership (PHKIH) of Hong Kong Institute of Housing (HKIH)
	Our PDPFM qualification is recognised by the Property Management Services Authority (PMSA) as a Specified Associate Degree and Diploma in Property Management (for PMP (Tier 2) Licence). The graduates will fulfil the academic requirements for the PMP (Tier 2) licence of Property Management Services Authority (PMSA).
